Entry: Life is Good Friday, May 27, 2005

What can I say. I'm back in my old stomping grounds. That is to say, I am again a Network Administrator (tho' more a computer operator at this point.) Back with a company I worked for years past.
I could be making more money but.. really, money isn't everything. You make some sacrifices.
I have a beautiful daughter. She doesn't want to go of to college or get a job but we need to work on making her into a productive member of the human race. All in all she's a great person, nice to have around.
I'm very much in love with Mike. I wish he could commit to me but I know he has things to work out and I understnd why it's hard for him. One day I hope his peace of mind, his happiness (and mine) will lead him to a decision. I love him no matter what and he knows that.

My house needs lots of work and I have no afore mentioned money to put into it. It has a new roof. It keeps me warm and dry in winter and shelters me.
The once new car is now 10 years old. Hard to believe. Seems like just a couple of years ago that we were diving it off the showroom floor. What a thrill. It continues to run even though it is showing it's age.
I'm closer to my sister than I have been in many years. I appreciate her love and support so much.  I just sent an e-card to say so!

An aquaintance recently had some words of wisdom and I think they are so true:

"I found a simple idea that brings me peace and joy, and it has nothing to do with Jesus or heaven or hell, but it makes me happy, and it makes the people around me happy. There is joy to be found in being a good person. There is happiness in being nice. There is pleasure to be found in giving of yourself for others. I love making people happy. I think this is the closest thing to a "meaning" we'll ever find.

It's actually twofold: First learn to accept others for who they are and love them unconditionally because of it. Second, devote your life to helping others find happiness"

Billy is only 25 but I think so wise beyond his years and a truly good man.
